Citizen launches on Worldline’s PaymentIQ

We’re delighted to announce that Citizen’s instant cardless payment technology is now available through Worldline’s payments platform, PaymentIQ.

PaymentIQ was one of several solutions acquired as part of the Devcode Payment acquisition by Bambora in 2017. Bambora, now known as Worldline, is the largest European player in payment services. The Worldline group as a whole operates in multiple sectors globally, investing more than €300 million annually in innovation, and deepening their partnerships with innovative players from across the global payment ecosystem.

From May 2022, Citizen’s instant cardless payment solution becomes part of that payment ecosystem.

PaymentIQ gives iGaming providers access to over 45 card acquirers and 100 worldwide alternative payment providers (including Citizen) with a one-time integration. It allows providers to handle a variety of payment methods, eliminating the need for new integrations in new markets. Customisable rules and analytics ensure providers can maximise acceptance rates while freeing up resources and protecting against fraud.

Citizen’s cardless payment platform is a purpose-built, modular solution based on open banking standards that enables simple account-to-account (A2A) payments. Gaming providers can use Citizen to offer their customers instant deposits and withdrawals that settle in seconds. Account verification is built-in, for a quick and easy onboarding and payment set-up process that protects against fraud. Integration into providers’ existing systems is simple - and made even easier through the PaymentIQ platform.
